Join the association
Membership is open to artisanal and small-scale gold miners, processors and site workers in our areas of Uganda and eastern DRC.
Who can join
- Miners, processors, carriers and site workers aged 18 or over
- Living or working in one of our areas
- Willing to sign and follow the code of conduct
Women and young miners are especially encouraged to join. You do not need to own a licence to become a member; we will help you get one.
Fees

Pay only to official accounts. Fees are paid to the association's registered mobile money account or to your area focal point against a receipt. No one may sell membership for cash or charge you extra. If someone asks, report it.

- Safety trainingPit safety, first aid and mercury-free recovery, run at or near your site.
- Fair-sale supportLists of licensed buyers, help checking scales and prices, and a record of your sales.

- News and alertsNotices, price information and meeting dates by WhatsApp or SMS.
- A voiceA vote at the general assembly and a safe channel for complaints.
How to join
Choose the way that is easiest for you.
Register
Fill in the form below, send "JOIN" by WhatsApp to +256 726 635 586, or visit your area focal point.
We check
Your focal point confirms that you work in the area. This usually takes two weeks.
Sign the code
You sign the code of conduct and pay the joining fee to an official account, and get a receipt.
Get your card
You receive your member number and card, and are added to your area's WhatsApp or SMS group.
Registration form
We ask only for what we need to confirm you and contact you. Your details are kept private and are seen only by the officers who process registrations.
